A respected and growing regional law firm with a strong presence across Oxfordshire is looking to recruit an Employment Solicitor (NQ–3 years’ PQE) to join its busy and friendly team based in Didcot.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior solicitor to develop a broad practice that includes both employment law and some commercial contract work, within a supportive and modern legal environment.
The Role
You will handle a mixed caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, including:
* Drafting contracts of employment, staff handbooks, and service agreements
* Advising on disciplinary, grievance, dismissal and redundancy procedures
* Settlement agreements and employment tribunal claims
* Supporting corporate transactions from an employment law perspective
* Some exposure to commercial contracts, such as terms of business and supplier agreements
You will work closely with senior lawyers and commercial teams, with client contact and increasing responsibility from day one.
Candidate Profile
You will:
* Be a qualified solicitor with between NQ and 3 years’ PQE
* Have completed a seat in employment law or gained relevant post-qualification experience
* Be commercially minded with a practical, client-focused approach
* Have an interest in developing skills in commercial contracts
* Be enthusiastic, organised, and a strong team player
