Drainage Engineer opportunity available with our client, a family-run drainage contractor based in Cambridgeshire. The opportunity comes with a £30k salary and lots of opportunity for overtime (starting at 1.5x pay, rising to 2x).
A background within the plumbing and drainage industry is essential for this role, but our client is happy to provide training to any junior engineer's looking to learn more about the drainage industry and progress further in their career.
Drainage Engineer Job Responsibilities
* Travelling across East Anglia from the depot in Wisbech, completing reactive and planned drainage maintenance
* Using high pressure jetting equipment to clear both internal and external drain blockages
* Completing basic internal plumbing works
* Using CCTV camera equipment to compete drain surveys, locate blockages, and write up reports
* Visiting commercial and domestic sites including homes, schools, factories, and manufacturing buildings
Drainage Engineer Job Requirements
* Basic understanding of the plumbing and drainage industry
* Confident in completing basic drainage unblocks using either rodding or jetting equipment
* Full UK driving licence
* Based within a commutable distance of Wisbech and able to get to the yard
* CSCS card and water jetting tickets desirable but not essential
Drainage Engineer Salary & Benefits
* Basic salary starting at £30,000, depending on experience
* Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
* Overtime Rates: Mon - Sat 1.5x, Sun 2x
* On Call Rota: 1 in 4 weeks, £70 retainer fee and overtime paid on call outs
* 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, rising by one day per year (max 33 days)
