Materials Planner (12-18 Month Contract) Location: Huddersfield Contract Duration: 12-18 months Department: Supply Chain / Production Planning About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Materials Planner to join our dynamic team on a 12-18 month contract. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys coordinating complex supply chain processes. As a Materials Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring production runs smoothly by maintaining accurate material availability, creating and managing production schedules, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet business targets. Key Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and manage the flow of materials to meet production requirements. Procure raw materials and components in line with production schedules and business demand. Coordinate with production, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Track and update production and material status across business systems to maintain accurate visibility of inventory, customer commitments, and financials. Dispatch finished goods in accordance with business expectations and timelines. Produce monthly financial reports detailing profit and loss for review with Area Production Managers. Identify and resolve material shortages or delays to minimize production disruptions. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Materials Planner, Production Planner, or in a Supply Chain role. Strong background in supply chain management within a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment. Knowledge and hands-on experience with GSAP P1B / S4 HANA systems. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint). Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
