Responsibilities
* Prevent avoidable loss and provide a safe, hazard free environment according to policies, procedures and objectives.
* Carry out frequent patrols of all guest floors, public and service areas, including irregular checks of the perimeter.
* Ensure guest rooms, offices, service cupboards and other doors are locked and free of fire and health hazards.
* Investigate all reported or alleged cases of crime or potential crime, including theft, loss or damage to guests, staff or hotel property.
* Assist staff, visitors and contractors with verification, preparation, issue and recoveries of ID cards, visitor passes and pass‑out forms.
* Ensure no unauthorised persons enter the premises and properly receive all admitted persons.
* Conduct daily fire patrols, reporting faults and following up to ensure resolution.
Qualifications
You have already gained first work experience in a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment. With good working knowledge of firefighting equipment and procedures you will be able to respond to an emergency immediately. You will have a SIA licence (Door Supervisor) and preferably have good knowledge of current laws and legislation. You also have working knowledge of CCTV and relevant computer programmes.
