Job Role:
MIB is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to combating uninsured driving. In the UK, someone becomes a victim of uninsured or hit-and-run drivers every 20 minutes. We aim to protect people from the devastation caused by these crimes. Our team is passionate about making roads safer by removing uninsured and hit-and-run drivers from the roads, working with Police, Insurers, and Government to make this a thing of the past. Last year, we helped over 42,000 victims.
Responsibilities:
* Manage information security vulnerabilities on end-user devices, servers, and third-party applications.
* Develop and oversee the framework for managing the application estate, including version control and upgrades.
* Maintain the software catalogue, ensuring only approved applications are used.
* Implement and manage vulnerability management processes to protect against known threats.
* Conduct vulnerability scans and manage remediation efforts.
* Collaborate with business units to establish and enforce software approval and version control processes.
* Research security threats and implement appropriate remediation strategies.
* Support procurement and legal teams in managing vulnerability-related contract gaps.
* Work with third-party providers to ensure vulnerabilities are reported and patched timely.
* Generate reports on security posture and compliance.
* Promote security awareness within the organization.
* Follow change management procedures for deploying patches and updates.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Fundamental cybersecurity knowledge and practical experience.
* Experience in creating and managing patching frameworks and vulnerability controls.
* Desirable qualifications: Microsoft MCP/MSCA, CISSP.
* Experience with Windows, M365, Mac OS, and cloud security tools (e.g., Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Nessus, Tenable, Qualys).
* Proficiency with patching tools like Autopatch and Kandji, and management tools such as SCCM and Intune.
* Strong understanding of threat actors, vulnerabilities, and network configurations.
* Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
* Ability to produce management reports and work collaboratively.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: £70,000 per annum
Grade: 13
Hours: 35 hours/week, Monday-Friday
IT kit provided, start-up allowance of £320 (pre-tax)
Hybrid working: 2 days in Milton Keynes office (MK14)
