Are you passionate about helping children close gaps in learning and build confidence across KS2? A friendly and supportive primary school in Accrington is seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to deliver targeted support across Years 3–6.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work with small groups and individual pupils to deliver focused interventions in Maths, Reading, Writing, and general catch‑up support. You will work alongside class teachers and the SENCo to track progress and adapt learning to meet pupils’ needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured KS2 interventions to raise attainment
Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs
Implement tailored learning plans and track pupil progress
Work collaboratively with class teachers and the wider staff team
Provide encouragement, reassurance, and behaviour support where needed
Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience supporting pupils in KS2 (school or tutoring background welcomed)
Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
Confidence delivering targeted interventions
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A patient, nurturing approach to learning
A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
