Wath Academy is seeking to appoint an exceptional female teacher of Physical Education who is fully aligned to our Trust Vision, Values and Behaviours and the Academy Key Drivers. A genuine passion for Physical Education and a strong commitment to developing young people to achieve their potential is essential. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers who meet the ‘Essential’ criteria set out in the Person Specification and experienced teachers looking to continue their career in a supportive faculty.
The role is on a one year fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

This post is subject to a Genuine Occupational Reason (GOR) that the successful postholder be female, as permitted in the Schedule 9 of the Equality Act. This is due to the nature of the role, involving the following:
1. Providing personal care, supervision and instruction to female students in situations where they are likely to be in a state of undress or using single-sex changing facilities and showers.
2. A proportionate means of achieving the legitimate aim of preserving the privacy, dignity and welfare of our students.
