SEMH Support Assistant – Ferryhill School Setting
Protocol Education is recruiting Inclusion Support Assistants for a specialist school provision in Ferryhill.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people with SEMH needs and helping them achieve positive outcomes in education.
Main Responsibilities
* Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in groups
* Encouraging engagement and participation in learning
* Implementing behaviour support strategies
* Providing emotional and pastoral support
* Working collaboratively with school teams
* Monitoring progress and achievements
Essential Qualities
* Experience working with children or young people
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Calm and professional approach
* Resilience and flexibility
* Genuine commitment to pupil wellbeing
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
