Description and requirements

We are currently recruiting for a Sub Agent where you'll be based on the Lower Thames Crossing project where we’re delivering preliminary works for the Kent Roads section — 6 km of new road, Europe’s widest green bridge, a public park and 12 miles of pathways.
This landmark project will pioneer low‑carbon construction techniques while creating local jobs, boosting skills and connecting communities across Kent and Essex via the UK’s longest road tunnel.
As the Sub Agent, you will:
1. Develop the design, construction methodology, programme and cost. Prepare for the delivery of the works, including resources, procurement, consents, and pre start documentation.
2. Prepare for the delivery of these works, manage resources and providing supervision, advice and guidance to the members of the Construction teams and Sub-Contractors.
3. Ensure the progress of the works are in accordance with the contract, programme, budget and design requirements.
4. Implement and assure compliance with all relevant National Highways and or statutory requirements with regards to Health, Safety, Environment and Public relations within their scope of work.
5. Manage QA within section of works, including compilation of handover packs and gaining client approval.
6. Manage, supervise, train and mentor the site team to enable them to optimise their work contribution.
We are looking for:
7. Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
8. Knowledge of construction techniques, sequencing, best practice and working to and implementing construction contracts.
9. Relevant CSCS Card.
10. Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management.
11. Experience of working on Highways Infrastructure project, highlighting areas of responsibilities.
