This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management worker to join our team here in Cumbria. As our Housing and Property expert, youll support our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, youll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts. Also support customer engagement and social activities, we know the key to staying well and healthy is not being lonely and staying as active as possible. Having a purpose.
Typical day as a Housing Management Worker
Older people service over 55s and younger people with learning disabilities
Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, youll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies and community.
Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.
To keep our properties fully occupied and the rent accounts up to date.
Youll carry out and record the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities making sure were compliant.
Youll also manage the admin updating records, ordering, and arranging payment for works to be done.

You bring
Will be a people person, with a background in property management, but thats not a deal breaker! Perhaps youve worked in an environment with compliance and health and safety checks?
A can do positive attitude, youre proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.
A passion for delivering excellent customer service and a genuine desire to help your customers.
The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.
Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business as well as with external partners
Passion for property and get a thrill out of knowing that your properties are the best they can be for our customers!

Youll join Manager Tina and our Older Peoples Independent Living team, were super passionate about what we do! Were really proud that people dont live where we work.
We work where our customers live and the positive impact, we bring every day. Were a supportive bunch and like to meet up regularly for team meetings and will even have a spot of lunch occasionally.
Job details
We can be a bit flexible around what hours your work, (or were open to agreeing a work pattern with you)
7.50 hours a day Monday to Friday
Based at our service in Wigton youll spend your time with customers or in the office which is accessible for our customers.
Able to use technology for creating and updating Health and Safety records, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,
Occasionally you will need to cover other schemes or attend team meetings, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage!
Youll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
