Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Mental Health Nurse to join our Mental Health team at HMP & YOI Hollesley Bay, a category D prison located in the village of Hollesley near Woodbridge, Suffolk. The role is part‑time at 18.75 hours per week and will involve working with a multi‑disciplinary team to support patients in a secure environment.
Hours
Part‑time – 18.75 hours per week
Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 18:30
Saturday – Sunday: 07:00 – 17:00
Salary
Annual salary up to £49,175 (FTE) – depending on experience
What You’ll Be Doing
* Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of patients' mental health needs.
* Work collaboratively with the multi‑disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner, managing a caseload and developing holistic health care plans.
* Contribute to nursing strategy and vision, providing outstanding evidence‑based care and personalising services to meet patient outcomes.
* Deliver non‑judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and upholding professional boundaries.
* Play an active role in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care, following policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

Requirements
* NMC Registered Mental Health Nurse.
* Experience in mental health settings – ideally within hospital, community or prison environments.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Experience of working collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders in a multidisciplinary environment.
* Legal right to work in the UK; subject to additional vetting and security checks.
