The Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical DT lessons
* Maintaining workshop machinery and ensuring safe working practices at all times
* Supporting teaching staff during practical sessions where required
* Managing stock control, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory records
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and COSHH requirements
* Carrying out routine maintenance and basic repairs of tools and equipment
* Assisting with displays, exhibitions and departmental projects

The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who:
* Has practical experience working in a workshop or technical environment
* Possesses strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
* Is organised, methodical and proactive
* Can manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
* Works collaboratively with teaching staff and students
* Has experience with CAD/CAM or workshop machinery (desirable)
* Demonstrates a flexible and positive approach to school life
