Sony Pictures Television International Production's new Digital Studio is here to shape the future of entertainment—developing creator-first, platform-native original content for digital audiences. The newly launched UK-based Digital Studio will be making YouTube series, creator partnerships, podcasts, and branded content that's bold, audience-first, and made for how people really watch.
This is your opportunity to be part of a new digital studio from the outset, with the backing of Sony Pictures and the mindset of a modern digital media company.
We are seeking a Commercial & Partnerships Manager to execute the commercial strategy for the Digital Studio. This is a hands-on, entrepreneurial role focused on driving monetisation, growing new revenue streams from scratch, and building partnerships across creators, brands, agencies, and platforms.
The role sits within the founding team of the Digital Studio and reports directly to the VP Commercial and Co-Lead, Digital Studio. It will work across all content verticals, channels, and creator partnerships, playing a core role in building the Studio's early commercial success.
This is an execution-focused position for someone driven, resourceful, and comfortable operating in an early-stage, fast-moving environment.
What You'll Do:
Commercial Execution & Monetisation
* Own the monetisation strategy for the entire Digital Studio channel portfolio, ensuring all channels maximise revenue opportunities across YouTube, podcasts, social platforms, and emerging formats.
* Identify and develop new commercial models for creator partnerships, including revenue-share structures, monetisation frameworks, and innovative creator-led revenue opportunities.
* Stay on top of creator-economy trends to ensure Sony leads the industry in digital monetisation and commercial models for creators.
* Identify third-party opportunities for revenue maximisation across platforms, networks, distributors, and partners.
Creator Partnerships & Negotiation
* Negotiate directly with creators, talent managers, and agents to secure commercial models that work for all parties.
* Help identify creators Sony should partner with and support bespoke commercial strategies for each opportunity.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with creators, aligning content and partnership opportunities with commercial objectives.
Brand & Agency Partnerships
* Secure brand partners for channel launches, sponsorships, integrations, and content partnerships across all channels.
* Build and manage relationships with brands, agencies, and media buyers to identify and develop new partnership opportunities.
* Own outbound sales activity, pitch materials, proposals, rate cards, and partnership packages
* Manage an up-to-date commercial pipeline, ensuring accurate tracking of opportunities, deal stages, and revenue projections.
New Revenue Development & Platform Strategy
* Support the development of new revenue streams across live events, merch, subscriptions, audio, digital products, and other ancillary formats.
* Apply deep platform knowledge (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Spotify, etc.) to inform commercial decisions and monetisation optimisation.
* Work closely with the Channel Manager to connect audience performance with revenue opportunities.
Financial Forecasting & Commercial Decision Support
* Work with Finance and the VP Commercial on channel profitability forecasting, supporting investment decisions, and go/no-go recommendations.
* Analyse revenue potential, costs, and commercial viability across new channel ideas and creator partnerships.
Commercial Operations & Reporting
* Manage commercial reporting, forecasting, and revenue tracking across all channels and creator partnerships.
* Build commercial processes and sales operations as the Studio scales.
* Provide insight and data-driven recommendations to inform and challenge the Studio's commercial strategy.
What You'll Bring (Required Skills and Qualifications):
* At least 3 years' experience delivering revenue on YouTube, with a clear track record of improving monetisation, growing channel revenues, and understanding platform levers.
* Deep understanding of the creator landscape, creator revenue models, and platform-native content.
* Proven experience in monetising YouTube channels and social platforms, including revenue optimisation and platform best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to monetise audiences off-platform, such as through subscriptions, live events, digital products, merchandise, audio revenue, or other ancillary revenue models.
* Track record of driving revenue growth, contributing to new revenue streams, or delivering measurable commercial impact.
* Existing creator relationships and credibility within the creator ecosystem.
* Experience negotiating with creators, talent managers, and partners on commercial models or deal structures.
* Experience in partnerships, sales, creator operations, creator monetisation, or digital content commercialisation.
* Strong understanding of YouTube analytics, platform monetisation tools, and creator revenue dynamics.
* Passion for YouTube content, the creator economy, and digital-first entertainment.
* Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and proactively drive commercial outcomes.
* Strong communicator with confidence, pitching, negotiating, and managing relationships.
* Comfortable feeding into and constructively challenging commercial strategy.
Why This Role Is Unique:
* Join the founding team of a new digital venture backed by Sony Pictures Television.
* Operate with the speed and mindset of a creator-led digital studio, supported by global corporate infrastructure.
