Unqualified Teacher
Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and enthusiastic Unqualified Teachers to support secondary schools in the Fareham area. This role involves stepping into the classroom in the teacher’s absence, delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and focused throughout the lesson.
You will take responsibility for leading classes, managing behaviour, and supporting students with their learning. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, teaching assistants, tutors, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Work is available on a full‑time or flexible day‑to‑day basis, depending on your availability.
The Role:
1. Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects
2. Lead classes independently and maintain classroom routines
3. Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
4. Support students with learning tasks and questions
5. Cover a variety of subjects across the timetable
6. Provide cover for both pre‑booked and short‑notice absences
7. Maintain a positive and structured learning environment
8. Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
9. Experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, etc.)
10. Confident leading a classroom and managing behaviour
11. Strong communication and organisational skills
12. Calm, adaptable, and professional approach
13. Comfortable working across different subjects
14. Graduates and aspiring teachers strongly encouraged to apply
Contract Details:
15. Position: Unqualified Teacher
16. Location: Fareham
17. Start Date: ASAP
18. Working Pattern: Full‑time or day‑to‑day
19. Pay Rate: Up to £130 per day
20. Key Stages: KS3-KS4
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
21. Experience working with young people essential
22. Behaviour‑management experience beneficial
23. Safeguarding training can be provided
