To lead on Skateboard GB’s safeguarding strategy, policy, guidance and operations, as part of the People enabler of the SBGB strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities
1.To develop Skateboard GB’s safeguarding strategy ensuring that it is progressive, proactive, preventative, top-down and board-led, integrating safeguarding with the People Plan, wellbeing, HR and culture initiatives.
2.To draft, implement and keep up to date all safeguarding policies and procedures in line with legislation, regulatory and funder guidelines.
3.To respond to safeguarding queries and disclosures
4.To manage safeguarding cases
5.To develop a Safeguarding Implementation and Communications plan with the SBGB Communications Team.
6.To deliver and identify appropriate safeguarding training needs across the organisation and wider skateboarding community.
7.To work in partnership with key stakeholders e.g. UK Sport, Sport England, Sport Resolutions, CPSU, Ann Craft Trust, Police, Local Authority Designated Officers, Skateboard GB’s deputy safeguarding officer.
8.To support on other tasks as required by the business and in consideration of your skills, knowledge, and experience.

9.Role and responsibilities of statutory agencies, including Local Safeguarding Children Boards and DBS

12.Skateboard GB’s role and responsibilities to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
13.Skateboard GB’s policy and procedures related to safeguarding and protecting children.
14.Core values and principles that underpin good safeguarding practice.
15.Awareness of contextual safeguarding and current affairs that impact the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and ability to quickly recognise and respond to emerging issues.
