Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home or School-Based) Location: Kettering and surrounding areas Hours: Flexible, during school hours (typically 8:30am–3:30pm) Pay: Competitive rates (dependent on experience and qualifications) About the Role: We are seeking motivated and dedicated 1:1 Tutors to support pupils in the Kettering area. This role involves delivering personalised, one-to-one education either in a pupil’s home or within a school setting, supporting young people who may need additional help outside of mainstream education. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver tailored lessons based on individual pupil needs Support students with a range of needs, including SEN, SEMH, or those outside mainstream education Adapt teaching strategies to suit different learning styles and abilities Build positive and supportive relationships to encourage engagement and confidence Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals Requirements: Experience working with children or young people (teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or support roles) Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures Ability to plan and deliver flexible and creative lessons Patient, resilient, and supportive approach Relevant qualifications (teaching, tutoring, or degree-level education preferred but not essential) Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable What We Offer: Flexible working hours during school time A rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a young person’s education Ongoing support from a dedicated team Training and professional development opportunities How to Apply: If you are passionate about supporting young people in a 1:1 setting, please submit your CV along with a brief cover note outlining your experience and availability.
