About The Role
Business Development Manager
The COFTEC Business Development Manager will report to the COFTEC General Manager or as directed by the Group Managing Director. They will be responsible for leading and managing Business Development and Sales for COFTEC as it expands. The incumbent will also be responsible for the expansion of COFTEC through creating greater sales, generating sustainable profits, and ensuring the design of a definitive product offering.
Location:
The role will be primarily based in either Ireland or the UK, with travel to potential clients in both countries and potentially other countries over time.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Leading the expansion of COFTEC by generating sales in Ireland, UK, and globally. The Business Development Manager shall develop a business development and sales strategy for COFTEC to be reviewed and implemented annually.
* Collaborating with the Marketing team to produce a matching marketing plan to ensure the success of the sales plan.
* Developing relationships with supply chain partners (products/services) and customers.
* Staying informed of emerging industry trends in technology.
* Supervising, leading, and mentoring COFTEC staff as required.
* Working with Coffey Design and Delivery Departments to ensure that COFTEC products are incorporated into all Coffey projects.
* Collaborating with the Commercial Department to help manage COFTEC budget, project commercials, and ensuring COFTEC profitability.
* Attending Engineering Department meetings, COFTEC progress meetings, and other meetings as required. Producing monthly sales status reports as needed.
* Traveling and attending foreign and domestic conferences and tradeshows.
* Performing other duties as required and specified by the COFTEC General Manager.
About You
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Science, plus relevant experience.
* Proven track record in delivering sales and profits.
* Commercial awareness.
* Experience in generating sales or growing businesses.
* Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.
* Strong time management and communication skills.
* Excellent oral and written reporting skills.
* Good understanding of quality, environmental, and safety management systems.
* Strong understanding of regulatory aspects within the water and wastewater industry.
* Good people skills and a team player.
* Full Clean Irish/UK/EU Drivers Licence.
* No Sponsorship required.
