We are looking for a BLASTER MACHINE OPERATOR to join our Abingdon, VA plant. As a Blaster Machine Operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management. Why apply? About the Role Responsibilities: Receive instructions and schedules from plant supervision. Blasts bridges inside blast booth to remove mill scale and prep steel surface for paint. Perform operator maintenance on booth and spray hose. Check all finished work for obvious defects prior to final inspection. Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition. Other duties as assigned. About You We Require: Ability to pass pulmonary fit test and be capable of wearing blast suit for long period of time (2 hours). Ability to work with precision instruments. Good attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to read notes on drawings for project instructions.
