The successful candidate will provide one-on-one and small-group teaching assistant support to children with epilepsy, ensuring their safety, well-being, and academic progress.
About the Teaching Assistant role Role
This is a fulfilling Teaching Assistant opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to support students with epilepsy, which includes:

Monitoring students for signs of seizures and providing appropriate first aid as per their individual care plans.

Administering or assisting with medication as required, following strict protocols.

Working closely with class teachers and healthcare professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Adapting learning materials to meet the needs of students with epilepsy and other special educational needs (SEN).
*
Building a strong, trusting relationship with students and their families.
Ideal Candidate
You will be a resilient, empathetic, and patient individual with a genuine passion for working with children with complex needs. We are looking for someone with:

Experience working with children with epilepsy or other medical conditions.

A solid understanding of safeguarding procedures.

The ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
