Maintenance Manager / Supervisor, Birmingham, £Neg My client operates in the metals industry, privately owned and very successful, they are looking to add to their team. The role will cover and involve: - *Repairing / fabrication of bins / skips / roro bins. *Liaising with suppliers / customers in relation to servicing / repairs / obtaining quotes / keeping on top of plant service schedules and PPM maintenance. *Repairing heavy plant – 360 excavators, FLT etc., including maintenance / repairs on the main scrap shredder / hydraulic pumps / rams / PLC Equipment. *There may be times where you will be required to work as part of a maintenance team outside of normal hours in the event of a major breakdown in the best interest of the company. *You would be required to work closely with your MD / other on-site Management taking task instructions on a daily basis, distributing work requirements to relevant staff / contractors and reporting back positive / negative findings. *You are also required to follow Company H&S Guidance, and instructions, and keep your maintenance equipment in good working order, and keeping your working areas clean & tidy. Requirements: - *They are looking for a ‘’hands on’’ electrically / hydraulic biased engineer, with knowledge of fabricating /Mig / Arc welding activities. *Competent engineering background required that can work, leading a team, Giving / taking instructions to carry out daily tasks. *Using on site welders, MIG, TIG, ARC. *Gas cutting, for repairs and fabrication purposes. *Occasional working from drawings. Fault finding / repairing on site issues, hydraulic / electrical. Working hours are: - Monday – Friday 07.30am – 5.30pm Saturday 07.00am - 12.00pm (at least 2 per month or as required in line with maintenance requirements.)
