Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Remote (Occasional Travel to London Required)
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: £435 per day – Umbrella Only
Clearance: Active SC Clearance Preferred (SC Eligible Candidates Will Be Considered)
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team on a 6-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline development, and container orchestration, along with current or eligible SC security clearance. This is a remote role with occasional travel to London.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes
* Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Implement and maintain container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker)
* Monitor system performance, proactively identify issues, and implement resolutions
* Ensure security and compliance across cloud and on-premise environments
* Work closely with development teams to accelerate and improve release cycles
* Utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
* Write and maintain scripts using Bash and/or Python
* Set up and manage monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
* Maintain strong understanding of networking, system administration, and security best practices
Requirements
* Proven experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role
* Solid experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
* Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker
* Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
* Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
* Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Active SC clearance preferred; SC eligible candidates will be considered
