With over a century of experience in the construction sector, the business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a wide range of disciplines.The company undertakes works across commercial and industrial construction, new builds, extensions, refurbishments, maintenance programmes, groundworks, and internal alterations, providing a varied and rewarding workload for the successful Estimator.As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of projects and will be involved from tender stage through to project completion, ensuring accurate cost control, strong commercial performance, and successful project outcomes.With a strong and consistent pipeline of secured work, this role offers long-term stability within a collaborative, values-driven environment that prioritises employee wellbeing, professional development, and strong relationships with local suppliers and communities.Key Responsibilities: Initiating and managing estimating and commercial processes efficientlyProcuring materials and managing off-site and specialist servicesAssisting with work package development alongside the project delivery teamPreparing, issuing, and analysing subcontractor and supplier tender enquiriesMonitoring project costs from pre-construction through to completionSupporting positive cash flow through valuations, invoicing, and collectionsAssisting with final accounts, including variations and dispute resolutionContributing to cost-value reconciliations (CVRs) and financial forecastingReviewing tender enquiries and documentation for accuracy and completenessManaging supply chain communications and commercial documentationAnalysing construction costs and preparing detailed, competitive price submissionsMonitoring bid progress and aligning estimates with project budgets and forecasts Requirements: Proven experience in a similar Estimator positionDemonstrable experience across construction estimating and cost controlExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProficient in IT and relevant estimating softwareFull, valid UK driving licence What's on Offer: Permanent position with a company established for over a centuryDiverse project portfolio across multiple construction sectorsStrong workload providing long-term job securitySupportive, collaborative team environmentOpportunity for career progression within a stable and respected contractor Interested?
