Lead transformation in Diagnostics through influencing policy, senior clinical and executive leaders. Responsible for a range of policy implementation and policy or service development. Leads on behalf of the National Director in moving policy into practice at a national level for Diagnostics. Responsible for budget setting. Responsible, as an integral part of the post, for initiating and developing R&D programmes, which have an impact outside the organisation e.g. NHS wide. Responsible as line manager for teams delivering multiple functions in Diagnostics improvement, recovery and transformation. Use developed physical skills to fulfil duties, including the requirement for speed and accuracy, e.g. advanced keyboard use.
