About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Support Officer to join a major multi‑year transformation programme shaping the next generation of specialised data services. This is a unique opportunity to support a large‑scale programme that is modernising how critical operational and customer‑facing services are designed and delivered.
As part of the Programme Management Office, you will play a key role in keeping delivery on track—ensuring effective planning, governance, reporting, and project controls across a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
As the Project Support Officer, you will have responsibility in the following areas
* Support the development, maintenance, and tracking of programme and project plans.
* Coordinate programme activities, ensuring smooth operation of project management processes.
Monitoring & Reporting
* Manage programme controls and provide regular progress updates to Programme Managers.
* Lead monthly reporting cycles and produce high‑quality performance reports.
Governance & Secretariat Support
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies, standards, and governance frameworks.
* Support Programme Boards with preparation of documentation and accurate reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Draft correspondence and assist with gathering user, organisational, and customer needs.
* Manage and monitor risks, issues, assumptions, decisions, and change controls.
* Support financial tracking, forecasting and contribute to business case development
* APM Project Management, PRINCE2 Practitioner, or equivalent experience working in a structured programme or project management environment.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Experience managing risks, issues, and opportunities within formal project environments.
* Strong understanding of governance practices and programme/project controls.
* Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, SharePoint, Excel, etc.).
* Experience working with ServiceNow SPM or similar project portfolio management tools.
* Knowledge of agile, incremental delivery, and waterfall methodologies.
* Experience developing and improving planning, reporting, or knowledge‑sharing systems.
