Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and addressing societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full‑time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and independently financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues including health, employability, anti‑social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.

About the opportunity
We have a fantastic new opportunity for a Marketing Executive to join our Marketing team.
In this role you will be working alongside the EitC Design support, and supporting the Marketing Manager in day‑to‑day operations of marketing‑related functions across Everton in the Community, ensuring all work meets high standards and Charity brand guidelines.
Supporting both digital and traditional marketing initiatives, with a focus on email marketing and customer data management, you will also provide excellent marketing support for the introduction of new products and services, and develop and deliver marketing activity across all existing EitC programmes.
Other key responsibilities will include
* Supporting the Marketing Manager in ensuring that Everton in the Community requirements are accurately briefed and scheduled in accordance with Club protocol
* Working directly with the EitC Designer and liaising with relevant staff to provide wider context to briefs and provide feedback on initial design drafts or concepts
* Engaging with existing email software platform and EitC customer data to deliver campaigns that focus on the development of the customer profile and user journey
* Supporting the Marketing Manager to deliver targeted paid digital and social media campaigns, reviewing and monitoring key metrics to inform future activities where appropriate
* Reviewing and developing plans to support the Charity’s SEO objectives
* Ensuring externally produced marketing materials meet Charity brand guidelines, working with print and other suppliers when appropriate
* Supporting branding projects across the Charity where required
Safeguarding
* Understand the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures and best practice guidelines, using this knowledge to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to an anti‑bullying environment
Who we are looking for
Essentially, we are looking for an individual who is driven and motivated, committed to providing quality, and has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a proactive “can‑do” approach to work.
Other key knowledge and skills will include
* Educated to A level or NVQ in Marketing or equivalent
* Experience of working with a design studio, either directly or through an agency
* Experience within a similar role in marketing
* Knowledge of email marketing, software platforms and related data systems
* Knowledge of segmentation and effective targeting, and using data effectively
* Understanding of SEO/GEO and driving additional web traffic to the Charity website
* Experience supporting marketing campaigns from inception to delivery – B2B and B2C
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and positive relationships with all levels of an organisation
* Excellent communicator, written and verbal, with high attention to detail
* Ability to anticipate and prioritise diverse workload, managing work, time and resources cost‑effectively
* Good team player who can work on own initiative
The role will be offered on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, working 35 hours per week. The position may require the successful postholder to work occasional evenings, weekends and matchdays.
As a requirement, this role will require either a Enhanced or Basic DBS check or evidence of subscription to the DBS Update Service. Evidence of relevant qualifications and proof of eligibility to work in the UK will be reviewed if your application is successful.
