As the Interim Housing & Assets Support Officer, you will provide operational and strategic support to two lead officers: the Repairs & Services Lead and the Voids & Decarbonisation Lead. Your role will be essential in maintaining the daily management of our Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) operations and external contract oversight, while enabling our lead officers to focus on business cases, restructures, and organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day operations of DLO and external contracts
• Collaborate with internal teams to review performance and streamline processes
• Support specialist projects, including compliance with Awabbs Law
• Provide flexible, responsive service delivery to meet evolving needs
• Work closely with lead officers to ensure high standards for Wrexham’s Contract Holders
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in housing operations or contract management
•Strong organisational and communication skills
• A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible approach to problem-solving
•Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments
• Commitment to service excellence and continuous improvement
