We're on the hunt for a talented Social Media Content Creator to bring our campaigns to life and help shape the voice of the UK’s leading hobbies and crafts retailer, right from our Head Office in Christchurch, Dorset. With over 100 stores nationwide and a growing digital presence, we’re in an exciting phase of innovation and expansion. As a member of the Marketing team and reporting into the Social Media Manager, you’ll play a key role in our day-to-day campaigns, working in a collaborative, and creative environment. What You’ll Be Doing: Campaign Oversight and Content Strategy Work with the Social Media Manager and Social Media Content Executive to plan, schedule, develop and produce social first content that engages customers, grows brand awareness and strengthens loyalty. This includes video, photography, copy and graphic design for use across core platforms TikTok, Instagram and Facebook (additional platforms include YouTube and Pinterest). Assisting the Social Media Manager and Social Media Content Executive to deliver LIVE content across platforms - including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram and Facebook. Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Social Media Content Executive on shot lists and develop production plans for shoots to ensure all content required is captured. Occasionally attend photography shoots, events and other brand activities to capture new and creative content. Cross-Functional Collaboration Liaise and work alongside internal and external stakeholders to align messaging and deliver campaigns across social platforms that resonate with target audience and campaign objectives. Work with internal and external creators and influencers from briefing to publishing ensuring deadlines and guidelines are met. Performance Analysis Being reactive and staying up to date with the latest social media trends/niches and the craft/retail industry to ensure Hobbycraft remain at the forefront of social content. Provide weekly and/or monthly slides of best performing social content measuring against objectives and present to Marketing team. Occasionally assist the Social Media Manager with weekly/monthly reports ensuring we are on target and delivering KPI measurements. About You: Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience working in social media and/or relevant degree. Proven experience creating engaging social first content for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Suite apps and Canva. Understanding of creative and platform best practices. A creative mindset who loves experimenting with trends/formats and has an interest in arts and crafts. Strong organisational skills comfortable with making decisions and working in a fast-paced environment. Thrives in a collaborative space and enjoys working as part of a team. Fast learner and ready to adapt and utilise new technologies as they become available.
