AJ Chambers is working with an established accountancy practice in London to connect a corporate tax manager with their next opportunity.
The firm are are seeking an ambitious and confident individual with strong corporate tax knowledge to join a growing Corporate Tax team.
The successful candidate will support senior leadership in delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to a varied client base, while also assisting in the development and supervision of junior team members.
The role may suit someone with specialist technical skills, although the primary focus will be supporting the management of a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors alongside senior colleagues. The successful candidate should be comfortable reviewing straightforward corporation tax returns with minimal supervision and recognising when additional guidance or escalation is appropriate.

Client Responsibilities
Working with a broad range of clients across multiple sectors, responsibilities will include:
* Liaising with audit and accounting teams regarding delivery timetables and workflow coordination.
* Managing deadlines across allocated client portfolios.
* Coordinating the timely delivery of signed accounts for tax compliance processes.
* Scheduling and coordinating resources to support efficient delivery of client work.
* Reviewing tax provisions, tax accounting schedules, and corporation tax computations prepared by junior team members, with support from senior colleagues where required.
* Supporting the delivery of advisory projects across a range of corporate tax matters, including restructuring, international expansion, share schemes, and tax planning initiatives.
* Building and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring high standards of client service.
* Managing work in progress and billing processes to support commercial performance.
* Ensuring internal policies and procedures are followed across client engagements and communicated effectively to junior staff.
* Assisting with the supervision, coaching, and development of trainee and junior team members.
* Supporting administrative tasks and internal operational projects where required.
* Reviewing and approving tax computations where appropriate authority has been granted.
Additional Project Work
The role may also involve supporting with:
* New business proposals and tender opportunities.
* Tax due diligence assignments.
* Delivery of internal training on corporate tax matters.
* Research and resolution of technical tax queries.
* Corporate tax advisory projects.
Team Development & Leadership
The successful candidate will contribute to the development and management of junior staff and may have opportunities for direct people management responsibilities.
The role includes active involvement in supporting training, mentoring, and professional development initiatives within the team.

Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* Proven experience in corporate tax within a professional services environment.
* Strong technical understanding of corporation tax principles.
* Ability to communicate technical matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Broad technical knowledge across SME and larger corporate tax matters.
* Commercial awareness and understanding of the wider business impact of tax considerations.
* Experience managing a small client portfolio effectively and profitably.
* Ability to support tax advisory work and prepare high-quality written reports.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively during busy periods.
Qualifications
* ACA, CA, CTA or equivalent professional qualification.
