Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming school in Thornton Heath, who is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to children across Early Years, KS1, or KS2.
This is an ongoing opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right individual. We're particularly keen to hear from candidates with a sport or psychology background, as this can be a significant advantage in supporting our pupils.
This nurturing school environment focuses on both academic and emotional development. You'll be working closely with primary-aged learners, offering 1:1 support or assisting within small group settings, helping them access their education in a way that truly meets their needs.

Main responsibilities:
* Deliver individualised support to pupils during lessons and activities
* Encourage positive behaviour and build pupil self-confidence
* Work in collaboration with teaching staff and SENCOs
* Track progress and help adapt strategies to meet individual needs
We're looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in an Early Years, KS1, or KS2 setting
* Is calm, empathetic, and reliable
* Can confidently manage challenging situations
* Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to obtain one)
* A sport or psychology background is highly advantageous
