SEMH Behaviour Specialist - Canterbury

A specialist school in Canterbury is seeking a Behaviour Specialist to join their team, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils benefit from a structured, nurturing and trauma-informed approach that helps them engage positively with learning and everyday school life.
This role would suit individuals with experience or an interest in SEMH, behaviour support, youth work, mental health, psychology, education, or care, as well as graduates or career-changers looking to gain valuable hands-on experience within specialist or alternative education settings.
Key Responsibilites: SEMH Behaviour Specialist
1. Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them regulate emotions and engage positively with learning
2. Implement behaviour support plans and promote positive behaviour strategies
3. Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to provide consistent support
4. Help pupils develop emotional resilience, self-regulation and social skills
