SEN Teaching Assistant – Early Years (Autism Support)
Poole | £14 per hour | Temp to Perm | ⏰ 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with Autism and additional needs ? We’re looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our friendly team at a specialist early years provision in Poole.
You’ll be working with children aged 3-8 years, supporting their learning and development in a nurturing, engaging environment.
About the Setting:
This is no ordinary classroom. Our specialist provision offers:
✅ Autism-specific (ASC) environments
✅ High staff-to-student ratios (6-8 children per group)
✅ A well-equipped soft play area
✅ Large outdoor learning spaces & sensory garden
✅ A multi-purpose room for PE, staff training & group activities
What You’ll Be Doing:
Providing individualised support to children with Autism and other additional needs
Assisting with creative and structured learning activities
Encouraging personal, social, and emotional development
Working closely with teachers and therapists to support each child’s progress
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting children with Autism or SEN (preferred)
* A calm, patient and positive attitude
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* A genuine passion for inclusive education
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
