Role: Product Compliance & Quality Control Coordinator
Location: Middleton
Salary: Up to £28,000 (£17.95 per hour / £35,000 pro rata)
Hours of work: Flexible hours within a Monday-to-Friday, 9-to-5 framework, 30 hours per week.
They are creating a dedicated compliance specialist position to ensure their products meet GPSR, WEEE, and packaging compliance standards. This part‑time role is perfect for an experienced professional looking to shape a vital function in a close‑knit team.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and ensure compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) and other relevant UK and EU regulations.
* Manage and maintain technical files and documentation for all products.
* Coordinate and oversee quality control checks to ensure products meet safety and quality standards.
* Ensure compliance with WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) regulations and proper disposal of electronic waste.
* Oversee packaging compliance, ensuring that packaging materials meet environmental regulations and are properly labelled.
* Collaborate with suppliers to ensure products meet all necessary standards before shipment.
* Stay updated on changes to regulations and communicate these changes to relevant stakeholders.
* Prepare and submit necessary reports and certifications to authorities.
Desired Attributes, Experience & Qualifications
* Previous experience in product compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
* Strong understanding of UK and EU regulations (GPSR, WEEE, packaging, etc.).
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Good communication skills for working with suppliers, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Familiarity with other compliance areas like RoHS, CE marking, and environmental regulations.
* Experience with product testing and certification processes.
