Level 2 BSL Support Assistant – Gateshead Do you have a Level 2 qualification in British Sign Language and a passion for helping children overcome barriers to communication? We are seeking a dedicated BSL Support Assistant to work across a range of educational provisions in Gateshead, supporting children and young people with hearing impairments to access learning, build confidence and achieve their full potential. What you'll be doing: Supporting pupils with hearing impairments in educational settings Using BSL to facilitate communication between pupils, staff and peers Encouraging confidence, independence and social interaction Helping children access the curriculum and classroom activities Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and specialist teams Essential requirements: Level 2 BSL qualification Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle Strong communication and interpersonal skills Passion for supporting children and young people Every day presents an opportunity to help a child feel heard, understood and included.
