The primary objective of the Remuneration Systems team is to ensure the ongoing suitability and performance of the Remuneration System. This requires the Analyst to undertake tasks involved in the day to day running, support and development of the Remuneration System. In addition, the Analyst should handle escalations from Junior Analysts and represent the team to the wider SJP community i.e., at change forums, project initiations or downstream system impact reviews.
The Analyst should be a knowledgeable remuneration subject matter expert who can keep a cool head, has strong analysis, logic, and data skills, is collaborative and able to build strong relationships in order to get things done and ensure high levels of service are delivered.
What you'll be doing:
* Triaging faults on daily basis and ensuring they are dealt with in an effective manner without supervision and initiating corrective action – including root cause analysis.
* Developing complex back-end configuration changes for implementation on the Optymyze system i.e., new operational reports.
* Preparing test scripts and undertaking testing to support change activity.
* Acting as an SME for the Remuneration System; providing both technical knowledge to business users and business knowledge to third-party developers and testers.
* Gathering and writing business requirements in the form of User Stories and reviewing these critically for system feasibility and business benefit, whilst managing multiple stakeholders.
* Representing the Remuneration Systems Team at change forums and other wider SJP communities as required.
* Managing the testing of the Optymyze releases by ensuring test environments are available, creating and managing the test plan and ensuring regression packs are up to date and fit for purpose.
* Manage major incidents, liaising with IT and other departments and functions to ensure notification and escalation is carried out to minimize impact.
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office Products particularly Excel, experienced with JIRA
* Able to build, maintain and document holistic and robust processes – including techniques such as Business Process Modelling and Requirements Engineering.
* Experience working in a Systems Management/Operations/Support environment, preferably in a financial services environment that is dependent upon third party SaaS Services and/or has a deep knowledge of SJP Remuneration systems, processes, and rules.
* A natural curiosity for how things works and looking to improve on process, while keeping up to date with new technologies.
* Experience with JIRA plug in X-ray and Test Automation software Eggplant desirable.
Special Requirements:
Some out of hours working is required to maintain the system at Month Start.
