Job Description
We are working on behalf a global, award-winning business based in Ipswich who are currently seeking an Operations Clerk to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and a forward-thinking team.
To be considered for the role, applicants must have previous experience within Logistics. It is imperative that you have excellent communication skills. Strong telephone skills are essential, including the use of bespoke systems and working within a fast paced environment. Due to the ever-changing market, this is an extremely varied role which will require you to react and adapt to change with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
* Obtaining & issuing quotes on behalf of clients and overseas partners
* Processing new jobs on a bespoke in-house system
* Booking export shipments directly with Shipping Lines/Carriers
* Undertaking Customs Entries and any accompanying transit/export documentation
* Tracking shipments following UK departure and updating Clients accordingly
