Field Service Engineer required in the BA/SN/SP region, covering the South of the UK. £36,500 basic salary with access to a generous bonus scheme 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm with access to overtime and occasional pre-scheduled weekend work. 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional day for every 5 years of service.Our client, a well-established leader in automated storage solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team, covering the South of the UK from the SN/BA/SP postcode region with occasional national travel. Reporting to the Area Manager, your responsibilities will be to: Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems. Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently. Support system upgrades, including software updates. Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites. Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns. Provide technical support and product training to clients. Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly. Manage travel and schedule efficiently. Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems. Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner. Occasional national and international travel (for training purposes)In order to be successful, you will be based in and around the BA/SN/SP postcode regions and have a UK driving license with minimal points. You will need to have experience in mechanical, electrical and general engineering, have high attention to detail, as well as have a background in fault-finding and technical problem-solving skills. Engineering qualifications would be desirable, although not essential. Candidates need to be comfortable working independently, utilising their interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first attitude to provide an excellent service to customers.
