Overview
A Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist is sought to join the Specialist Community Eating Disorders Service on a maternity cover basis. The service is part of AWP and offers opportunities for career development, training, leadership, and innovation. The post focuses on working with people living with eating disorders, with a supportive MDT and opportunities for specialist training.
Responsibilities
* Provide a psychology service to the designated team including assessment and therapy for individuals and groups as appropriate.
* Provide a specialist consultancy service to multidisciplinary teams and other agencies involved in care for the client group.
* Participate in generic team duties as agreed by the operational manager and Psychology Lead to meet the needs of the service.
* Participate in clinical and caseload supervision arrangements provided by the Psychology Service.
* Maintain accurate records and monitor clinical workload using agreed systems; ensure timely recording of all data required by the Trust.
* Potentially provide clinical supervision to junior clinicians within the eating disorders team.
Qualifications
* Essential: Doctoral clinical/counselling psychology qualification or equivalent and HCPC Registration.
* Desirable: Training in CBT and/or a NICE-recommended therapy for eating disorders.
Experience and Knowledge
* Essential: Evidence of interest in working with the specified client group; experience of working in a multidisciplinary team; assessment and therapeutic interventions with the client group.

Employer: Avon & Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. Location: Blackberry Hill Hospital, Manor Road, Bristol, BS16 2EW. Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum, pro rata. Contract: Permanent; Working pattern: Part-time.
