Workshop Engineer – Heavy Plant
Package: Competitive Hourly Rate + Overtime

The Business
A busy construction plant operation is expanding its workshop team due to continued workload growth.
The workshop supports a large fleet of earthmoving equipment and offers a structured environment with strong technical support and development opportunities.
The Role
This is a workshop-based engineering role focused on servicing, repairs and preparation of heavy plant machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-delivery inspections of new machines
• Routine servicing and planned maintenance
• Fault-finding and mechanical repairs
• Major component replacement and machine modifications
• Supporting apprentices within the workshop
• Completing accurate job sheets and documentation
• Maintaining high health and safety standards
About You
• NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline (or Level 2 working towards Level 3)
• Experience working on heavy plant preferred
• HGV or agricultural backgrounds considered
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Comfortable working in a team-based workshop environment
• Full UK driving licence
