Hirwaun Medical Centre are seeking a salaried GP to join our vibrant practice of approximately 6,500 patients. We are based in a purpose-built building in Hirwaun, with excellent commuting links to Cardiff, Swansea, and South Powys.
Our friendly and welcoming practice team comprises 2 Partner GPs, a salaried GP, and established and supportive Nursing and Administration teams. We are an Emis practice.
We ideally look for 6 sessions over 5 days, but can be flexible.
The practice has a forward-thinking ethos and welcomes those who want to be part of that and be instrumental in moving the surgery and services forward.
Alongside our practice team, we are well supported by LHB services such as pharmacists, pharmacy techs, counsellors, and holistic therapy practitioners.

The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner. There may be occasions when other tasks are required; this will depend on workload and staffing levels.
* Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose, and monitor conditions
* Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery
* Monitor patients' conditions and wellbeing
* Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments
* Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors, psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams

Experience
* Experience managing your own clinic list
* Experience working in primary care
Qualifications
* Member of the GMC Register (Essential)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with particular emphasis on listening
* Clear understanding of professional responsibility and accountability
* Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and management
* Full UK driving license
