Position: Wire person Reporting To: Production Manager & Production Supervisor Location: Clevedon Pay: £12.60-£14 Hours: Mon - Thurs: 08:15-17:15, Fri: 08:30-13:00 Type: Full-Time The Role: As a Wireperson, your primary responsibility will be to wire and assemble electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies in accordance with specifications, drawings, and standards. You will work closely with other departments to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in every task. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, check, and verify kits of parts against specifications and drawings - Identify and communicate any discrepancies or inconsistencies in documentation - Assemble and wire sub-assemblies following established standards and layouts - Rectify faults as instructed to ensure quality standards are met - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times - Support other reasonable tasks as required to support team goals Performance Indicators (KPIs): - Complete a specified percentage of work orders within planned build times - Build to specifications with minimal faults (targeted fault rate) - Maintain compliance with QMS, EMS, and H&S standards consistently Qualifications & Knowledge: - Understanding of H&S hazards, risks, and controls for safe working practices - Proficiency in operating and using work tools correctly - Ability to interpret mechanical and wiring diagrams - Knowledge of component purposes and assembly techniques - Skills in wiring, lacing, and system testing (continuity, polarity, integrity) - Awareness of engineering standards and quality requirements Skills & Attributes: - Commitment to working safely and responsibly - Ability to build safe, reliable, and correctly functioning systems - Maintain a tidy and safe work environment - Strong attention to detail and reporting skills INDLP
