Your new role
As a Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function. This is a varied, hands-on position where you will be responsible for transactional finance duties and ensuring the smooth running of core processes.
Key responsibilities will include:
1. Processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices and payment requests
2. Supporting weekly and monthly payment runs and electronic transfers
3. Raising sales invoices and monitoring outstanding receivables
4. Following up on overdue payments and resolving customer account queries
5. Assisting with month-end processes, including financial reporting support
6. Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring ledger accuracy
7. Maintaining organised financial records and digital filing systems
8. Acting as a key point of contact for internal and external finance queries
What you'll need to succeed
9. Previous experience in a finance or administrative role (ideally 1–2 years)
10. Strong attention to detail with a high level of numerical accuracy
11. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and general office systems
12. Experience using accounting software ( Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
13. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
14. Strongmunication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach
