Job Summary
A Technical Electrician will assist with the planning and implementing of electrical needs of the Aviation Repair facility. They will support the achievement of the site’s business goals, needs, and objectives. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: installing equipment using hand and power tools; constructing foundations; aligning machines; assisting with facility power readings; breaker box assembly; performing scheduled inspection and maintenance on machinery and facilities.
Job Responsibilities
* Creates facility layout plans to accommodate the electrical needs of production equipment.
* Assembles and sets up electrical power layout and controls to support production needs.
* Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs, and repairs industrial machinery and equipment according to plans and instructions.
* Installs equipment, constructs foundations, aligns machines, and performs maintenance.
* Maintains and repairs plant facilities, reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and manuals.
* Moves, wires, runs conduit to electrical boxes and machinery, assists with new installations.
* Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing issues; maintains repair logs.
* Orders parts and performs testing for plant systems in the absence of the maintenance lead.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
* High School Diploma or GED
* 4+ years experience with volt meters, basic electronics, electrical training, basic computer repair
* 2+ years experience with motor control circuits, contactors, VFDs, servos, and three-phase motors
Preferred Qualifications:
* GKN experience
* Machine certifications
* Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic devices
* Ability to use precision measuring tools (dial caliper, depth micrometer, dial indicator, wire gauge to 0.0001)
Physical Requirements
* Standing, walking, reaching, bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and working at heights
* Occasional lifting up to 60 pounds independently, or 100 pounds with assistance
* Repetitive grasping, manipulation, and lifting
* Exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, temperature, and humidity
Compensation Range
$35.00 - $38.00 per hour.
