Collins Aerospace is looking for Skilled Vacuum Braze/Furnace Operator to join our Operations Department within our HS Marston facility in Wolverhampton. If you are interested we would love to hear from you!
What You Will Do
The successful candidate will be responsible for operation of 12 vacuum furnaces both steel and aluminum brazing.
Responsibilities:
1. A good knowledge of Vacuum furnace brazing control systems and heat exchanger production would be an advantage however training would be given.
2. The candidate would be required to work on their own initiative, conducting regular TPM checks, Leak up checks and SAT check procedures.
3. Inspection of Post/Pre braze Matrix, Heat exchangers and components.
4. Collaborate with the production team to meet project goals and deadlines.
5. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as ACE activities (5S, TPM, Turnbacks, and Clinics).
6. Maintain traceability of materials and adhere to quality control standards.
7. Ensure the workspace remains clean, organized, and compliant with company standards.
8. Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements.
Shifts:
This role requires flexibility to work in rotating shifts:
9. Morning: 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Friday).
10. Afternoon: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Monday–Thursday) and 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Friday)
11. Nights: 8:30PM-6:15AM (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

Qualifications We Prefer
21. Qualifications will include a CITY and Guilds or NVQ level 2 in an engineering discipline.
22. Working knowledge of Word and Excel applications.
23. Experience in a similar or related discipline an advantage.
24. Existing knowledge of NADCAP Guidelines an advantage.
