Job Description:
* Day rota working 36 hours a week over 4 days, no weekends, no OOH
* Start ASAP on a minimum 6-month contract
* Located in the vibrant City of Cardiff, with easy access to the Vale of Glamorgan, Brecon Beacons, and Welsh Coastal Path
We are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon for a small animal hospital in Cardiff for a 6-month contract starting ASAP.
* Excellent full-time opportunity with day rota working 36 hours/week over 4 days, no weekends or OOH
* Practice features state-of-the-art facilities including CT scanner, advanced ultrasonography, endosurgery, extensive blood analysis equipment, orthopaedic and soft tissue theatres, dedicated ECC wards, dental suite, etc.
* Role involves hospital days, inpatient care, operations, and occasional emergency consultations
* Ideal candidates are confident in surgeries such as splenectomies, amputations, lap spays, and managing complex cases
* Join a friendly, experienced, and supportive veterinary team with varied interests
* CPD funding available, with opportunities to work cases fully and pursue personal clinical interests
Person Requirements:
* Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
* Registered with the RCVS
* Good routine surgical and medical skills
* Comfortable with various surgical procedures
* Ability to work sole charge when on call
