Our client is seeking an experienced Private Family Lawyer to manage a varied caseload of privately funded family matters within its respected Family Department. Job Purpose Manage and progress a caseload of privately funded family matters under the supervision of the Head of Department Work in accordance with the Firm's Office Manual and professional practice standards Support business development and networking activities Key Responsibilities Meet clients, take initial instructions and progress matters through to completion Manage own caseload, including complex family matters Maintain files with full compliance and detailed attendance notes Conduct advocacy and attend Court when required Time recording and preparation of bills Build, maintain and manage a sustainable caseload Achieve WIP, billing and cash targets Assist Directors, Heads of Department and colleagues where required Attend departmental and fee earner meetings Undertake file reviews for other fee earners as necessary Travel between offices as required; demonstrate flexibility for client/business needs Knowledge & Experience Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (litigation and advocacy rights essential) Minimum 4 years' fee-earning experience in a Private Family Law department Strong experience running private caseloads (divorce, finances, private children matters) Knowledge of legal aid work beneficial Experience with Lexcel requirements Proven business development and networking skills Friendly, personable and able to work independently Full driving licence and own vehicle essential Confident using Microsoft Office and case management systems If you are an experienced Family Lawyer seeking a new and rewarding challenge, we invite you to get in touch.
