We are seeking a skilled Computer Hardware Technician to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of computer hardware and related equipment. Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair hardware issues across various computer systems and peripherals
* Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on hardware components
* Use hand tools and schematics to assemble, disassemble, and repair computer equipment
* Conduct computer repairs efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime
* Assist with the installation and configuration of computer networking equipment
* Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and system configurations
* Troubleshoot equipment failures using technical manuals and schematics
* Support the setup of new hardware installations and system upgrades
* Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies
Skills
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to computer hardware components
* Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly and repair tasks
* Solid understanding of computer hardware, including motherboards, processors, memory modules, storage devices, and power supplies
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams
* Experience with computer repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
* Knowledge of computer networking principles and equipment setup
* Capable of repairing various types of equipment efficiently and accurately
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Good communication skills to document work processes clearly
