We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Lawyer to join a highly regarded law firm in King's Lynn. You will be handling a broad caseload of residential property matters, focusing on buying and selling property, leasehold transactions, and remortgages. Key Responsibilities
* Residential Conveyancing: Manage and oversee residential property transactions from inception to completion, including sale and purchase of freehold and leasehold properties, remortgages, and transfers of equity.
* Client Liaison: Provide exceptional client service, ensuring clear and timely communication. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, offering guidance and support throughout the process.
* Document Drafting and Review: Prepare legal documents including contracts, leases, and transfer deeds. Review and negotiate terms in line with client needs.
* Due Diligence: Undertake necessary searches, surveys, and investigations to ensure properties are legally compliant and meet the client’s expectations.
* Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with the latest regulations, including the Land Registration Act and other relevant laws and best practices within the conveyancing industry.
* Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the property team and assist with the mentorship of junior lawyers or paralegals.
* Fee‑Earning: Achieve set targets for fee income, ensuring the firm meets its commercial objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Experience: At least 2 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) as a Residential Property Lawyer, with a solid track record in managing a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters.
* Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of residential property law and related practices, including the sale, purchase, leasehold transactions, and remortgages.
* Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal matters in a clear, concise manner.
* Client Care: Proven ability to provide high levels of client service, with a focus on building long‑term relationships.
* Organisational Skills: Strong time-management and organisational abilities, capable of handling multiple transactions simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
* Qualifications: Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or equivalent.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with Case Management Systems: Familiarity with industry‑standard case management software will be an advantage.
* Business Development: Willingness to contribute to business development activities and grow the firm’s presence within the local market.
* Leadership Potential: While not essential, experience in managing a team or assisting junior staff would be advantageous.
