What You’ll Be Doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer: Design (60%) Creating detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Fusion 360 Designing bespoke lift interiors, architectural finishes, and metalwork features Producing flat patterns, DXF files, and fabrication-ready documentation Collaborating with the fabrication team to resolve technical challenges Project Engineering (40%) Attending site surveys and meetings across London Liaising with architects, contractors, and internal teams Supporting project planning, labour coordination, and installation Managing your own design and delivery schedule Reporting directly to the Design Manager and Director What We’re Looking For: 1–3 years’ experience in architectural metalwork, sheet metal, or joinery design Strong understanding of fabrication processes and a great eye for detail Proficient in AutoCAD and Fusion 360 Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent the business on-site Prior experience in the lift/escalator sector is a bonus – but not essential Self-motivated, organised, and keen to take initiative Why Apply?
