The Senior Charge Nurse within Renfrewshire Mental Health In-Patient Services is a pivotal role, working with the nursing and multidisciplinary team to ensure a high standard of care is delivered to patients in one of our mental health wards. Due to the complex needs of this speciality, the ability to be organised and have good time management skills are a priority, as well as possessing excellent communication skills. The post-holder will be expected to lead the nursing team, in-line with the Senior Charge Nurse job description. The post-holder will have 24 hour continuing responsibility for the ward they manage. It is essential that the post-holder is a First-Level Registered Mental Health Nurse with significant post registration experience and relevant speciality experience with appropriate post-registration training. Your shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and you will be required to participate in the Senior Charge Nurse On-Call rota. Initial placement will be decided on appointment but could be based on any of the three Renfrewshire Mental Health In-Patient sites; Dykebar Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital or Leverndale Hospital. This post requires PVG membership scheme/Disclosure Scotland check.
