Behaviour Support Assistant – SEN School, Gateshead
A specialist SEN school in Gateshead is seeking a committed Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and SEMH needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff and therapists to help students access learning and develop positive behavioural strategies.
Responsibilities
* Support pupils with additional needs in the classroom
* Implement behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
* Encourage positive engagement with learning
* Promote independence and confidence
* Liaise with teachers, therapists and families
Requirements
* SEND experience desirable
* Positive and patient approach
* Strong communication skills
* Full-time availability
* Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
